Message from the AmCham Chairman

Since 1996, AmCham Abu Dhabi has worked diligently to increase trade, investment, and goodwill between the United States of America and the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. AmCham Abu Dhabi is an independent, not-for-profit association comprised of Fortune 500 corporations, small and medium sized companies, and prominent business leaders and entrepreneurs. Through the support of our more than 450 members, AmCham Abu Dhabi is the recognized voice of U.S. business in Abu Dhabi, the capital city of the United Arab Emirates.

AmCham Abu Dhabi provides a unique platform for our members to discuss and address issues affecting the business and trade relationship between the U.S. and U.A.E. Substantive government advocacy programs, informational e-mail communications, educational and networking programs, roundtable forums, and customized business services are just a few of the many benefits AmCham Abu Dhabi provides to our members.

As a member of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce based in Washington D.C. and the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Abu Dhabi, AmCham works closely with private and public sector partners to advance the interests of the American business community in both countries. We are directly involved in advocacy programs on Capitol Hill to improve awareness in Washington D.C. of Abu Dhabi’s prominent commercial position in the region and its close business and political ties to the United States. AmCham Abu Dhabi is also a member of AmCham MENA, a group of eight American business groups across the Middle East and North Africa.

I thank our members, our volunteer board of directors, and our many strong supporters who are instrumental in allowing AmCham Abu Dhabi to flourish as a leading association in the MENA region. I encourage companies and business leaders in the region to join AmCham Abu Dhabi as we work to further the strong commercial relationship between the United States and the United Arab Emirates.
